Frequently asked questions

About the Maglev Heat Pump.

What COP does the NordicLev heat pump achieve?

COP up to 7.38 for the NTCH1000 model, with COP ≥ 6.84 across the entire NTCH series. The fully active maglev bearing, falling-film shell-and-tube exchanger, and adjustable diffuser all contribute to industry-leading efficiency.

What refrigerant does the NTCH use?

R134a refrigerant, with three-phase 380 V 50 Hz electrical supply. The system includes high-voltage, low-voltage, overload, phase-loss, water-flow, anti-freezing and low-temperature protection.

What is the cooling capacity range?

The NTCH series covers 300 – 2 818 kW rated cooling capacity and 386 – 3 613 kW rated heating capacity, across NTCH100 to NTCH1000 models.

Where is the NTCH heat pump typically used?

Large commercial and institutional buildings (rail transit, schools, hospitals, hotels), industrial process heating (chemical, papermaking, textile printing & dyeing, rubber & plastics, food, pharmaceutical, biological fermentation), and district energy systems.

Is the NTCH heat pump 100 % oil-free?

Yes. The maglev bearing eliminates lubricating oil completely. This means no oil contamination in the refrigerant loop, no oil change schedule, and improved long-term efficiency.
